MICRO-DWELLING

In MICRO-DWELLING book (2017) by Sofia Vyzoviti, two of our designs were published. The first one was the tree house Cubic Mirror by the Swedish architects Tham & Videgård and the second one Paco house by the Japanese Schemata Architects. The plans were produced during the Minimum Dwelling Atlas workshop, at the University of Thessaly.

Στο βιβλίο ΜΙΚΡΟΚΑΤΟΙΚΙΑ (2017) της Σοφίας Βυζοβίτη, δημοσιεύτηκαν δύο σχεδιαστικές αποτυπώσεις μας, για την δενδρόβια κατοικία Κυβικός Καθρέφτης των Σουηδών αρχιτεκτόνων Tham & Videgard και την κατοικία Paco των Γιαπωνέζων Schemata Architects. Τα σχέδια παρήχθησαν κατά τη διάρκεια του εργαστηρίου Minimum Dwelling Atlas, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας.

CHORA NEW FURNITURE

CHORA atelier has designed new furniture for its new office based in Pagrati Athens, made of reddish beech wood and metal.

PERSEPHONE

The hidden veil and the nine pauses

The project 'Persephone' consists of two parts, the 'Hidden Veil' is the theoretical approach of the Sacred Way in social, historical and philosophical level, while the 'Nine Pauses' relate to its compositional performance, amid spatial experimentation so as to redefine this axis. The study was presented in June 2019 in collaboration with Gregory Petropoulos at the Architecture School of the University of Thessaly in Volos, as our thesis for the postgraduate program of Architectural Design INSTEAD IV.

Το άρρητο πέπλο και οι εννέα παύσεις

Η μελέτη ‘Περσεφόνη’ αποτελείται από δύο μέρη. Tο ‘Άρρητο Πέπλο’ συνιστά τη θεωρητική ανάγνωση της Ιεράς Οδού σε κοινωνικό, ιστορικό και φιλοσοφικό επίπεδο, ενώ οι ‘Εννέα Παύσεις’ αφορούν στη συνθετική απόδοσή της, εν μέσω χωρικών πειραματισμών για τον επαναπροσδιορισμό της οδού. Η μελέτη παρουσιάστηκε τον Ιούνιο του 2019 σε συνεργασία με τον Γρηγόρη Πετρόπουλο, στην αρχιτεκτονική σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας στο Βόλο, ως η διπλωματική εργασία για το μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα του Αρχιτεκτονικού Σχεδιασμού INSTEAD IV.

Avdi apartment

In the center of Athens, at Avdi Square in Metaxourgeio, an old textile factory is being renovated and transformed gradually to apartments. At the fifth floor, the abandoned open space of 68m2 is being fully reformed.

Στο κέντρο της Αθήνας, στην πλατεία Αυδή του Μεταξουργείου, ένα παλιό κλωστοϋφαντουργείο ανακαινίζεται και μετατρέπεται σταδιακά σε διαμερίσματα. Στον πέμπτο όροφο, ο εγκαταλειμμένος ανοιχτός χώρος των 68τμ αναδιαμορφώνεται πλήρως.

Astiko topio - Vouli channel

A tribute to the co-working space Vessel where Chora is located. It was produced by the tv-program ‘Astiko Topio’ (‘Urban Landscape’), that focuses on issues regarding architecture and the city, and broadcasts from the channel of the parliament ‘Vouli’. It includes also a small interview about the new studio Chora.
